Only in China?

by Jos Overmars on November 16, 2010

The last few days I’ve been going around asking myself a question. The source of this thought is  a 2 minute long movie from the internet in which a 15 storey hotel is being build in just 90 hours. This may sound like fantasy but it’s made possible in China.

My questions; how come they do it and we don’t? Are we not fit to do so? Don’t we have the planning capacity to make it possible? How does this effect building costs? What will this building look like 2 years from now or 10 years from now?

All questions but no answers yet. What I would like to do considering that this is a blog and not an essay, I will not look for these answers myself but would like to have a proper discussion about them. Therefor let me in on your thoughts and questions… And don’t forget to watch the video below.
