Last thursday GROUP A and her design team partners welcomed over 200 guests, who were given the opportunity to explore the recently completed offices for BP Refinery Rotterdam.

Guests were shown round by the architects, contractors and engineers involved in the design and construction, and took this occasion to explain proudly their role in this highly acclaimed fully integrated process and end result.

Inspiring lectures provided background information about the design concept, the building process, the fourteen months construction period, and the design & build contract (UAV-GC).

On leaving, visitors were presented a copy of the recently published book Chemistry by GROUP A, consisting of a collection of interviews with stakeholders involved in the realisation of the new offices for BP Refinery Rotterdam.

People, all my congratulations for the great job. From the picture it looks very convincing, and perfectly built. Especially happy about the dark stone (basalt!), the dark boxes (is it really steel?), the bridges (what’s the final material?) and the wood wall. The renders -the dreams- become true! Edwin, Paul, Ramon, thanks for your patience…! Thanks for posting it, greetings to everyone.
