Workshop Steigereiland at model-expo A.A.P. 2012 at ARCAM

The 14th of May ‘de Gouden A.A.P. 2012’, the Amsterdam Architecture Award, will be awarded. The A.A.P. 2012 is awarded to an architect and principal of the best project realized in the previous year, according to the jury. The jury this year consists of architectural historian Fredie Flore, architecture critic Indira van ‘t Klooster and architect Peter Defesche.

GROUP A’s recently completed project Workshop Steigereiland on IJburg is one of the nominees.

This year prior to the ceremony an exhibition will be opened in which the models of the nominated projects will be presented. Also a beautiful model of Workshop Steigereiland can be admired. The opening is on Friday 20 April at 17.30 conducted by Arjan Oosterman, editor of Volume.

The exhibition is from 20.04.2012 till 09.06.2012

At first, it seems like it is very easy to capture perfect shot of buildings. But if you try to consider different angle to be taken, it will be very hard because only four sides of the front view can be taken if you don’t get the right handling of camera lens.
